My Heritage
In 1921, my great-great-grandfather Sarjoo arrived in Guyana. 100 years later, I was born as the 5th generation Dindial, in the same hospital and live in the same house as my dad and uncle Juju. The first home grandpa Brian and grandma Pamela, who met in 1981 at the same university mom attended years later, acquired in 1987.
In 2014, my parents met, and as my curiosity grows, I will some day, write the next chapter of the Dindials. Except for these tidbits:
One day in a drive from Brampton to Mississauga, my dad in a conversation with grandpa Brian and uncle Jugu, was seeking advice how to ask mom out and where to take her.
Summary of the conversation was they did not know if mom eats beef, hence take her to Snug Harbour, where grandpa Brian took my parents just before I was born. In the same conversation, my grandpa Brian interest was only if mom was educated.
In 2015, mom visited grandpa Brian for the first time, he said he was impressed while not knowing who she was. One day, I will have to ask her about furniture assembly.
